1) George Romaine
I would like to suggest to all here to viist Rome and stay at the apartments of Franca D'Alessandria. I lived in Rome in one of her apartments and would strongly recommend them because they are very comfortable and beautifully furnished and decorated. Franca is an artist in her realm and does her work with passion and ...dedication. Every detail is thought out with care and finesse. Staying in her apartments will be the highlight of your vistit to Rome. That time in Rome was the happiest period of my life. Part of that happiness had to do with living in Vicolo del Giglio and eventually becoming dear friends with Franca who is an extraordinary woman. Go see he apartments. You will fall in love with them.

"Abitare Trastevere is in a picturesque corner of Trastevere. The apartments are some of the most charming you will find, with whitewashed walls, beamed ceilings, country furniture, nicely tiled floors and every convenience except an elevator etc."

Dear Franca d'Alessandria.
I would like to thank you for our stay in your
apartment V.lo Moroni 39 last week. We had very good time.
I did not see your e-mail from Febr. 9th, until I
came back last night, because we were whole day
travelling from Iceland to Rome. It was a chock
for me to hear on arrival that we could not have
the apartment in V. lo del Giglio, but the other
apartment was very good and we are very pleased.
The only thing that was bothering us was that the shower is leaking.
Our 3 concerts of the Reykjavik String Quartet all went very well. So thank you once again, and I hope for another
time to visit Rome and stay in one of your apartments. Best regards also from my husband.
