The Apartments of Campo de' Fiori are about 30 mts. from the famous Piazza with the same name and 50 mts. from Piazza Farnese where the huge Palace, perhaps the most beautiful in Rome is. The building of the Residence belongs the Cinquecento. It was built on some ancient Roman ruins, an extension of the Theatre of Pompey. An ancient Roman column can be seen 20 metres from the Residence. The whole area recalls ancient and medieval history. The "Palazzo della Cancelleria" and above all Piazza Navona, once the Circus of Domiziano, and later a masterpiece of baroque art is very close to Campo dé Fiori.
The building of the Residence was the first purchase of the owner who, out of her love for old Roman atmosphere, was looking a living place for herself. when she saw that original small mansion at the corner between two narrow lanes, was not satisfied until she managed buying it. The works of restoration which followed, kept intact all those ancient parts which was possible not to touch; these create a typical warm atmosphere in the apartments into which the building is now subdivided.
The original floors, "cassettoni" ceilings and pan of the old furniture are still there.The most of the furniture was made with the same old pattern. Off course all the appliances, the kitchens, the bathrooms are brand new. All these features and the extremely interesting position in an area full of famous artistic and historical monuments are the cause of many applications for rent.
