"Abitare Barberini" is situated in the most central areas of the city, at 100 mt. from two famous churches and from Quirinale Palace, once the official residence of the Pope and now of the President of the Italian Republic. Just out of Via Rasella is Palazzo Barberini, beautifully decorated, containing one of the most important galleries of paintings.
The building of the Residence belongs probably to the 16th century; it was restructured in 1998. A special effort was made to respect the original outlook. Thus the old "cassettoni" ceilings, many pieces of furniture, the paintings of the 18th century have been kept. All this helped giving a sober and elegant aspect to the six suites created in the building. Each of them is composed of living room, a king bedded room, a small dressing room or boudoir. A bathroom with shower, a kitchenette equipped with beautiful Roman marble slabs.
Of course this last part of the suites, so essential to make living there comfortable and pleasant is modern as are also the dining tables and those in the living rooms. In addiction a lot of allow further space. In particular the two suites at the third floor are larger (two bedrooms, a living room one or two bathrooms), each of the two is built at two levels, making it possible to better exploit the existing space.
